  • Staying Small in Business can be Wise

Monday July 18, 2011 opened with quite a few business stories worth a note. Gold is up, Google is up, and the government still hasn’t managed to get ahead of the budget. Another thing that has people worried is China. Consistently in the last several years China has been a target of investments for the US. China has also been trying to become a powerhouse in the world in order to provide better for their people. Unfortunately, all this work in China may have come to a halt where confidence lies.

There are quite a few allegations of late about missteps in Chinese companies. In fact there are a number of fraud accusations and investigations going on right now regarding some of the top Chinese firms. News is telling us that there is a “widespread weakness” that will continue to plague the country.

The confidence they were slowly trying to build has just been shaken greatly. For companies investing in China it can be a difficult time for them. Even more, companies that have used Chinese products or sold Chinese goods can have a more difficult time.

For small businesses the worry is less as long as they carry American made goods or goods not sold or made in China. For the time being China will be something to worry over and have a lack of confidence in. For a small business that believes in America it could be the time to prosper. It would be the ideal time to remind Americans what America is all about. It may take a business loan to get a bit of advertising and some more inventory, but there are many who are looking for the American ideal and where it has gone in the last couple of decades.

A small business with a sharp mind and the confidence to back it up could overtake some of the discount companies like Walmart by selling goods Americans will want. Quite a few local small companies have begun to advertise their loyalty to America and selling American only products to strive to stimulate the economy through jobs and quality goods.
